A multidisciplinary artist living in New York City. Andrew’s art practice blurs the line between imagination and reality by combining the mediums of sculpture, video art, and installation. Working in a range of mediums helps to create an overarching dialogue within his body of work: a visual narrative that focuses heavily on opposites and the complexities of memory.
Since 2017, Andrew’s work has revolved around glorifying unconventional materials – personal objects that were once owned by other people, a process he refers to as “Working With Ghosts.”
My video work uses the same method, mixing audio samples from underground films, found footage, and original musical scores and video. These mixes accompany a saturated screen with bright hues of colors, soft lighting, and dream-like elements. The result is an emotional duplexity that blends the splendid with the provocative.
